Lawrence Larocque, the company president, who hasĀ 46 years of experience in the construction industry including 20 years of owning and operating his own businesses, brings an extra dimension to the classroom. Lawrence’s substantial experience as a crane operator of machines up to and including 400-ton capacity, an industrial mechanic, apprenticeship trainer/examiner, DOST examiner, and supervisor of construction and Hazardous Materials clean-up projects is a valuable resource for this company
As Instructor and Training Coordinator at an industrial/construction training facility and as Instructor and Vice President of Marketing for an industrial/construction training company, Lawrence negotiated with Training Adjustment Boards and presented training programs to the private sector of the construction industry.
Lawrence was owner/operator of L.D. Larocque Cartage for twelve years, and in 1995 he established his company – L.D.L. Crane Training – to provide education for Construction Safety, Licensing and Certification of Craning, and Certification of Construction Equipment. The company was incorporated in 2004. Lawrence retired in 2014 but remains on board as a consultant.
In addition to his experience in the construction industry, he was an Officer with the Ontario Provincial Police force where he gained valuable experience in both criminal and traffic (accident) investigations.
