Duration: 3 Days
Prerequisites: 16 years of age or over
Who is this course for?
Individuals who:
- have operating experience and require theory & hands-on testing.
- require certification for working on construction sites.
- are employed and working in this trade but are not certified, or
- wish to find employment in this trade.
Employers who:
- require employees to be competent operators (”competent workers” as defined by OHSA).
- require employees to meet Ministry of Training, Colleges & Universities (MTCU) requirements for certification for Program #P930030.
- must meet the OHSA requirements to prove ”due diligence”.
Course Information:
Safety standards dictate that operators of any type of mobile crane or hoisting device must be competent and have written proof of training to operate this type of equipment on construction sites.
A qualified trainer delivers both theoretical instruction and practical testing in safe operating practices, pre-operational inspections, load chart interpretation, load calculations, review of the applicable regulations, hand signals, basic rigging principles and other relevant topics.

- require certification for working on construction sites.
- are employed and working in this trade but are not certified, or
- wish to obtain employment in this trade.

- want to learn to operate boom trucks and hoisting devices.
- want to obtain Boom Truck certification.
- want to be ready to satisfy the requirements of the Ministry of Labour.
- want to be ready to obtain employment in this ‘high paying’ trade.

- Hold a valid 339C License

- have a valid 339C License for working on construction sites.
- want to update their knowledge & skills to obtain employment in the trade.
Employers who:
- require employees to be competent operators (”competent workers” as defined by OHSA).
- must meet the OHSA requirements to prove ”due diligence”.
Course Information:
